I saw one sell that had been slightly altered at auction for $500. I own one. My father had mine appraised at $12.50 in the seveties ha...thats funny, at auction they expected the one I saw sell to bring 400 to 600 and 500 it was. Mine is a family heirloom with a powder horn. I would not take $2000. Your gun is probably worth between 500 and 1000 depending on condition and functionability. You must understand these are museum pieces and should not be fired as the metal should by now be certainly fatigued and could explode in your hands....not worth it. Hope that helps...they are nice wall hangers esp. if you have a family story to go with it. Pastor Robert
