I have a Savage Model 340 30-30 I would like some info on this gun It is a bolt action. Update/Edited Answer - The E model does not have much more of a value than a plain 340. There's just not that much extra demand or "value added" for a checkered stock. Plain Jane 340's in good condition are selling for around $250-$300 at various Gun/Pawn Shops around here (Georgia, USA). The checkered stock, or E version, might bring the price up $10-20, but I doubt it would add more than that.
