Not that rare. I have a supergrade 270 and 30-06 in featherweight. Wrong! - All though .270 and .30-06 were of the two most produced calibers, the order of model production (in volume) went from standard grade to featherweight to super grade to supergrade featherweight to custom. The production date of the particular piece is important with those produced in the '60 as being the least desirable and those from pre WWII and post WWII being the most desirable.

The collector value can only be assessed by a visual inspection & evaluation. Old Winchesters are very much like old classic automobiles... the graded condition and factory originality are the key factors in determining what they are truly worth. Bert H.
It's worth whatever someone will pay for it. That varies on the region of the country and the condition of the gun.
There is a ton of information on the model shotgun. A 1/2 page at least. The Standard grade 12 guage in V/Good condition is worth $400. The Featherweight version is worth $450.

What grade, skeet, ultalite, field, supreme, deluxe, super deluxe, featherweight, ventilated rib, etc? Anywhere from $200 to $500.
No such thing. It is either a Model 70 or a Model 54
Between $3,000 and $4,000, depending on condition. The Mdl 70 .458 was only made in Supergrade, which has a value about double that of a standard model 70.
