Depends on which gun. A decent average quality shotgun was about $15. If you will check with your local library, there have been a few hardback reprints of the Sears catalogs- earliest is 1896, another about 10 yrs later, and one from the 20s. Your librarian may be able to get a copy on inter-library loan. Back then, you could buy guns and ammo through the mail (and dynamite and blasting caps). See what the prices were at Sears.
