Depends on which gun. A decent average quality shotgun was about $15. If you will check with your local library, there have been a few hardback reprints of the Sears catalogs- earliest is 1896, another about 10 yrs later, and one from the 20s. Your librarian may be able to get a copy on inter-library loan. Back then, you could buy guns and ammo through the mail (and dynamite and blasting caps). See what the prices were at Sears. Fascinating peek at 100 yrs ago.
