I would be surpised if some maker wouldn't make one for you.
Rifle stocks are used to steady the weapon against your shoulder. It also gives you somewhere to hang on to. Lastly, it allows you to have better accuracy because the rifle remains stabilized.
Depends on which rifle. Contact Savage customer serice with the model of your rifle, and they can give you an answer.
Wood is wood.
Walnut, birch, laminates
Weing stocks
Contact Browning, try e-gunparts.com, any of a dozen stock makers would probably make you one.
Yes, they are being and have been made for over 50 years
It would be nice to have a left handed model (I'm also Left Handed.) But unfortunately Crosman doesn't make a left handed stock for this rifle. You would have to find a woodworker who makes stocks in order to get one made. I would search the web for "Custom Rifle stocks" and start there.
Yes, but most scent killers will not be kind to metal or wood stocks.
Check with a gunsmith. My usual source of parts for obsolete rifles is sold out of stocks for a Model 34, but a smith may be able to locate one for you. That is a very old rifle, and new stocks are not available- and used ones are scarce.
The Remington Model 740 semi-automatic rifle has long been out-of-production. You may be able to find an original stock on one of the firearms auction sites, like Auction Arms.com, or you might try ebay. Consider that the later model rifle stocks, like the 742, 7400 and 74 Express stocks will also fit, but will not match the 740 Model forearm pattern.
