All Remington model 870 shotguns were made in the Unites states. The Remington plant was located in Ilion,New York.
They are all still made in Illion, New York, I believe.
300-400 USD
If this shotgun is indeed "like new", a Remington 870 of that vintage with a plain barrel would run around $225.00. With a ventilated rib.....around $450.00.
A Remington 870 .410 Wingmaster produced between 1964 & 1994 with a plane barrel and in fair condition (80%) is worth about $265.00. A .410 that is like new (98%) and with a VR is worth $575.00. lcj
Used I would say about 250. I just picked up a brand new 870 express from dicks sporting goods for 250 brand new on sale. Check you local gun show as that is where I saw them going from $200-$300
in my area u can buy a new one for around $325
They started in the 50's and still make them. The older ones have a serial number that starts with a T or S. The older ones also have a chrome flap on the underside, the new ones have a black mag flap.
Numrich arms has a good supply of new 870 stocks.
Depending on the condition the value could be around $400- 450
AnswerThey were made from '84-'86. They are much better finished internally and externally than the Express model which came next. They are a true "sleeper" value gun. A Wingmaster with less-pretty wood. I just bought one in as-new condition. It is not for sale, because it would take a Wingmaster to equal the quality! They were the first attempt to produce an 870 cheaper. I have repaired Express models. They have no factory quality control.
The pardner design is astoundingly similar to the Remington 870 design. Search for Remington 870 dissembly (or cleaning); I believe there are several Utube videos.
