∙ 12y agoThe answer is yes....and no. By performing a barrel swap to the 357 sig barrel the gun is capable of shooting the 357 sig round. However, the 357 sig has a much higher barrel pressure (5000-10000 more psi). While the gun can shoot the 357 sig round simply by changing the barrel, this will cause more wear than is normal and can possible damage the slide. The safe bet is to buy a slide and barrel meant for the 357 sig round.

Yes and no. The. 40 S&W is not interchangeable with the .357 Magnum, if that's what you had in mind. Most .357 Sig pistols can, however, but a .40 barrel will have to be dropped in in place of the .357 Sig barrel.
Yes. Your revolver will fire either one.
No
There are a dozen different cartridges with 38 in their name, and SOME are compatible with the .357 Magnum. A .357 will fire .38 Special, .38 Short Colt, .38 Long Colt- but NOT .38 S&W.
No, there are .357 caliber bullets that are not magnum, but they are in the minority.
