S&W never made a Model 1300 XTR shotgun.
Winchester mod 9422 XTR = 50 cm.
With the XTR marked on your shotgun, this indicates that it was made between 1983-1989.
The Winchester model 1300 series of shotguns were made from 1978-1993.The XTR suffix was included on the markings of these shotguns up till 1989.So we can be positive that your shotgun was made between 1983-1989 when this marking was used.
Good question. I believe the acronym stands for "extra". All XTR models were fancier upgrades of the particular model. ex Model 1300 vs 1300XTR, the XTR had better wood, finish etc. There is probably more of a better explanation buried in a Winchester book, but this is what I have always gone by.
By the serial number.
100-320 or so
The XTR suffix was on the model 70 rifles until 1989.I know there were the model 70 featherweight,The model 70 XTR european featherweight, the model 70 sporter.
200.00-250.00 used depending on condition
The XTR on your rifle was to indicate the level of finish to it.Some say it was abbreviated for Extra.
