It was designed originally around a single stack 10 round magazine. Chambered in 7.62x39s. Made by romarm in Romania. Recently century arms started importing them and installing the tapco g2 trigger system to reduce "trigger slap". They are great rifles if you have some jb weld and some cold brew.
Smith and Wesson does not build rifles. The rifles they sell are made for them.
Yes they are very good rifles,I own 3 of them.
Brownell's
Some makers have such a site.

Yes
Without resorting to these crappy cast receivers (such as Hesse/Blackthorn), the cheapest assembled rifles are going to be the 'bargain bin' rifles from CMMG. If you're looking to build one, Del-Ton had the cheapest complete build kit (minus the lower) at $450.
For the price, they are OK
Decent quality.
i wood say about $400 for the pair in good shape
marlin made 1993 rifles and 1889 rifles, barrels are about $75 if good, the rifles are about $250 to $500 , all calibers are about equal.
There are dozen's 0f good semi auto rifles. Pick any major manufacturer- Winchester, Browning, Remington, H&R, Colt, Armalite, FN. Sort of like "What are some good cars?"
