Colt 1911 styles were made by a variety of manufacturers during both World Wars. More information/markings are needed for proper identification. A guestimate based on the info provided places it as a Colt produced 1911 (not a 1911a1) produced between 1915 to 1918.

Numerous 1911's have been made by many different manufacturers who made your firearm would be the first question. Without that info properly valuing your firearm is virtually impossible given just a serial number.

Contacting Colt and getting a letter would be a good start.
Yes there are. Many millions of photos. If you google Holocaust photos you will find alot of interesting info and photos about it.

Hi, I have no idea what it is worth, but I have a 2 HP Baxter Colt steam engine I am rebuilding to get it in running condition and could use some info or photos will be wonderful. Call Colt and they should be able to give you some basic info on the serial numbers and such but any additional info will cost about $75
