Ozone is a much better sanitizer than chlorine, except that it doesn't provide a residual. You should also look into corona discharge units too. They may produce more ozone than "UV".

UV-based ozone generation is less sensitive to moisture in the air. It also produces an order of magnitude less ozone-per-watt than corona-based units. UV-based units are properly sized for spas, but not home pools.

Descibe about advantage of ozone layer?

Ozone is present in the stratosphere of the earth's atmosphere. It protects us from the harmful UV light of the sun.

What gas is responsible for absorbing the uv rays?

Ozone is the gas in the Earth's stratosphere that absorbs most of the Sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It acts as a protective layer, preventing the UV rays from reaching the Earth's surface and causing damage to living organisms.

What type of light from sunlight is absorbed by ozone?

Ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun is absorbed by ozone in the Earth's atmosphere. Specifically, ozone absorbs UV-B and UV-C wavelengths of light, providing a protective layer that shields the planet's surface from harmful radiation.

What light does the ozone layer block out?

The ozone layer blocks out harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun, specifically UV-B and UV-C rays. This helps protect life on Earth by reducing the risk of skin cancer, cataracts, and other health issues caused by overexposure to UV radiation.

What is the ozone in Ozone Layer?

Ozone is a trioxygen molecule. It is formed by the action of UV light on oxygen.

What does ozone have?

Ozone is a trioxygen molecule. It is formed by the action of UV light on oxygen.

What is the product form when ozone react with uv light?

When ozone reacts with UV light, it forms oxygen atoms and diatomic oxygen molecules. The UV light breaks apart the ozone molecule (O3) into oxygen atoms (O) and diatomic oxygen molecules (O2).

Why is ozone formed?

Ozone is a tri oxygen molecule. It is formed in a natural process by the action of UV light on oxygen molecule. It protects us fron the harmful UV light.

Which light will burn the earth if ozone layer will have a hole?

Ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun would burn the Earth if the ozone layer has a hole. The ozone layer acts as a shield, protecting the Earth from harmful UV radiation. Without this protection, increased exposure to UV light can lead to various consequences like skin cancer, cataracts, and damage to marine life.

How does ozone layer protect us from UV rays?

Nitrogen and Oxygen stop UV-C and more energetic radiation. When they do this, they are broken down into constituent atoms. N2 + energetic light -> 2N O2 + energetic light -> 2O Some of the oxygen forms ozone (eventually). Ozone is broken apart by absorbing UV-B and more energetic radiation. O3 + energetic light -> O2 + O

What are the occurence of ozone?

Ozone is a tri oxygen molecule. It is formed by the action of UV light on oxygen.

What are the sources of ozone?

Ozone is a tri oxygen molecule. It is formed by the action of UV light on oxygen.
