License and insurance and references .
Good time of the year, book early swim early, book late miss some season.
The contractor does not have a period of time when his men make less money, his suppliers sell for less money or his trucks use less gas or his insurance costs less. Save yourself a few hundred and book very early or very late on each end of the swimming season.
Of course any small business man would be inclined to have a sale , but be worried if you find a contractor that has a huge sale he probably only needs your money and not your work.

The reason for this is that it is a surveyor's compass with fixed sites along the north south axis and this allows easy non reversed readings of bearings. When you turn the compass siting on this axis the needle of course follows magnetic north. Align the sights with magnetic north and then turn the compass clockwise 45 degrees which should be North East or N 45 degrees E and you will see that the needle is showing the correct bearing because the East and West are reversed. She must report all income earned, and may have UI benefits offset. Someone WAS a non-employee contractor, and lost the assignment? Zero UI benefits from the lost assignment: she was never an employee. Employers pay no UI tax on non-employees, so they get no benefits.
