If you want a speedy, stock phone running Android 2.2 Froyo, then get the g2x. Otherwise, the thrill is running 2.3 Gingerbread, and has 3d capabilities (along with 4G). I definitely prefer the Thrill, but it may be a bit slower than the g2x.
Screen size seems to be important. The G2X has a 4.3 inch screen, bigger than the first Galaxy S 4G. However, the new Galaxy S II 4G has a 4.5 inch screen and a faster processer than the G2X.
