It will surely play it VERY well!!! I am running a old iMac with the 8400m card and it plays it at roughly 30-40fps. Which is pretty darn good!
Yes, it is Direct X 10 capable and is thus Aero capable.
Simple answer, No. Laptops in general are made to hold a specific video card model (unlike desktops). There are, however, higher-end gaming laptops that do provide a facility to change and upgrade the video card. But judging by the fact that your laptop came with an 8400M GS, It's highly unlikely that you can change it. Still, ask your manufacturer (Acer) and they'll give you the most definitive answer.
yes it will i even got red alert 3 to run pretty well with a mix from low to high settings
I think you can play it, but with all settings on the low/medium side. You can play'it...I Have a GeForce 6200 and I'm playing at High Details on 800x600 Screen Resolution.

8400 meters = 8.4 kilometers
Yes, i have one,and runs the game, but you will wish to run at 640x480 to play normally,or adpt the screen to the tv like i do,so the image will look very good stretched on the tv rather than monitor.,even with 640x480 resolution.
hope you got the warrantee

Steam's listing for Skyrim doesn't include any Mac systems in its System Requirements. So the answer's probably no, at least for now.
