What game is ridley from?

Why do so many gamers object to Samus's portrayal in Metroid Other M?
A lot of gamers don't like her portrayal, because she seems so kind, and caring. Also, before the Ridley battle she gets Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from when the Space Pirates attacked her space colony K2-L when she was three, and seeing Ridley ; at the time was scared of Ridley. Although , I think the shock from seeing Ridley still alive gave her Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Metroid fans & players of the Metroid series like the hardened, ruthless, less talkative Samus they know. The fans don't want to see Samus get Post-Tramatic Stress from seeing Ridley, especially since Samus battled him at least seven other times in the whole series. They want someone who can kill a flying purple space dragon, and not have an Anxiety Attack over it. I on the other hand am a huge Metroid fan, and I kind of like the new Samus, because it makes her seem HUMAN!!!! with human feelings, problems, and emotions like you, me, and every other human being on Earth. But I really don't get the Ridley part, because she faced and killed Ridley plenty of times, and really shouldn't be surprised that he's alive. It really just matters on personal opinion.
