Which game is better Call of Duty 3 or Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare?

They are both fun games, but they are different. Call of Duty 3 still has us in WW2 whereas Modern Warfare takes us into Russia and parts of Africa in a counter-terrorism campaign. Both are excellent games, with pros and cons to each. It all depends on what type of game you want.

yea call of duty 3 is a game in WWII with allot of old guns but in modern warfare (call of duty 4) you are taken into a war in the future its kinda like being in the war that's going on now in real life

Personaly i like call of duty modern warfare 2 because of all the different gun variety

Both games are incredibly well made and if your looking to compare the two then you need to use your own opinion. cod 4 set the boundaries for call of duty and was incredibly popular and still is, whilst cod 5 improved the graphics in a better and different way. Both the games are simply too easy to complete but at the same time, still awesome.

Both games are not the games of choice from the call of duty series. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released in November 2009 and Call of Duty Black Ops was released in November 2010 and both are currently more popular for online playing

Its a topic of debate but CoD 4 is a year older yet has over 14 million sales, it is also much more popular among fans. WaW is developed by Treyarch and has only 3 million. If you are looking to purchase one I strongly suggest CoD 4. Modern Warfare 2 is also coming out on Nov 10 and will be Cod 4's sequel so you will enjoy it more if you know the story.

Since the above answer was written Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has come out and so has Call of Duty Black Ops. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is being worked on and a release will be late 2011 or early 2012. All the games are very popular and all have increasing higher sales figures. Based on sales Call of Duty Black Ops had the highest opening day sales by almost 1 million over Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

I think both games are good. COD is fun and all but i think gears of war 1 and 2 are great. And Gears of war 3 will be even better. Same with the call of duty games they just get better and better.
