There are many places where you can get DS chips. The chips come in a case. Then you take them out. So, back to the point. You can get Ds game Chips at, Best Buy, Target, GameStop and other electronic place like that. So I hope this helped. I have a DS an I know a lot about them. So, this should've helped!

I personaly recommend a TT, i got one from Caribbean Gardens or whatever its called, look around until you find a little store that seels something called TTDS it cost $50 with around 100 games included, as well as the chip, you get a usb type thing which you use to download the games off the net. If you wanna find games on the net type in "Nintendo DS free roms" but now most of the ds game sites are shut down, but who cares, you have the ones already on the chip!!!
