What is the best gun on modern warfare 3?

My Class

Weapon: mp-40

Side Arm: colt or waither

Primary grenade: sticky

Special grenade: Tabun Gas

Perks: Bandoiller, Stopping Power, steady aim you need because mp40 moves to the side alot and it messes you up when you are shooting and Ordinance Training

This gun has the highest damage right in the game and its my favorite ww2 weapon.

You can only get ray gun on campaign if you do the secret and in the co-op level "Nazi Zombies" from the "? ? Mystery ? Box ? ?"

And in that type of gameplay you may not edit your classes.

hes right you cant get the ray gun im 10th prestige 65 and il tell u the best guns out of ther categories

rifles:stg-44,m1a1 carbine,m1 garand ( sniper scope) - (if you dont like bolt action sniperz)

bolt action rifles-PTRS, mosin nagent (sniper scope)

machine gunz - FG42 , type 99 or browning

sub machine gunz- type 100 , ppsh,mp40 (have these al with round drum box magasines)

shotgunz - are really pointless

In my opinion, I would say that the best gun to use is the UMP45. It is powerful, it has amazing damage, and you can run fast with it. Use it with a silencer or FMJ for best results.

Here are some other good guns to use;

M16 (red dot sight0

ACR (silencer)

Intervention (FMJ or Thermal)

Tar-21 (silenced)

actually if u put holographic on the m16a4 it actually does more damage,

also I'll improve this by putting down some good perks and tips.

PERKS:

SCAR-H with stopping power is so over powered and is very good

but if u want to improve ur sniping start of with the barret with thermal and sleight of hand (pro would be good because it allows u faster ADS aim down sight) and when u get more experienced like me change to intervention without sleight of hand pro. or thermal. instead use acog which has an enhanced zoom which is easier for quick scoping and drag scoping.

As soon as you get to level 48 start using the ACR it's the best gun in the game and use One Man Army with it. Before level 48 use the intervention or the g18 akimbo.

Actually.. i just got 3 nukes in a row with Acr with red dot sight.. secondary wazz 44 magnum with akimbo, perks were scavenger pro, stopping power pro, commando pro or final stand, ..... HAPPY NUKEN ;)

The best gun in Black Ops is the Thunder-gun It sends a shock-wave that literally blows away your enemies that are in big groups. It only has 2 shots per magazine. unless you go up in the teleporter and pack a punch it into the Zeus cannon which makes it alot stronger and you get 4 shots per magazine. but you can't reload it it reloads itself after all four shots are fired :)

In my experience, the BAR is good, because it has a decent fire rate and the iron sights are really good, but for clearing out buildings, I'd choose the MP40.
