If that person who stole it is someone you know and they have it, you either slap them in the face and take the game back or call that person and tell them to give it back, and if they don't call the police, it's against the law to take belongs of another person. If that person is someone you know and you don't know where it is best to say that they lost it and ask for money to buy a new one, in this situation I think it may be not so smart to call in the police because you may not have the proof that he/she stole it. If however it is someone you don't know and obviously I'd assume you don't know where it is, best is to let people know, and I'm not sure if the police would handle such a minor item, so you might just have to buy another one instead.
