The Cyclone Slate is a handy tool used for getting places in the sea fast. You get it from the Frog King who is located on an uncharted island in the east part of the northwest sea.
After you get the slate, the Frog King tells you that there are six golden frogs scattered around the sea. If you see one, hit it with your cannon and it will show you a symbol. Later, if you want to go to the place where you saw the frog and it takes too long to sail there, you draw that symbol on the slate and your ship will be sucked up in a cyclone and "teleporting" to that location.
To see the locations of all six frogs and the symbols you need to teleport to each place, click here: http://www.zeldadungeon.net/Zelda12-phantom-hourglass-golden-frogs.php
(you still have to hit the frog with your cannon before you can use the slate to teleport there)
The slate is used to summon tornados that will take you to specific places.
the slate is on an unknown island in the northwestern sea with the frog chief [island under banana island]
Getting the slate is completely optional, so I can't really answer that. If you want, you can shoot the golden frogs that jump out of the sea with your cannon, then they'll give you a secret code to write on your slate so no matter wherever you are, you can teleport to that spot.
After you talk with him, you may find golden frogs at certain places in the sea. Shoot them with the cannon, and they will show you a symbol that you can draw on your Cyclone Slate (from the Menu) to warp to that point. (You'd better write it on your sea chart.)
the triforce triangle is the symbol you have to draw on the slate/doors in the temple of the ocean king, the first time you draw on it you draw an hourglass, the second time you draw the triforce, see a picture of the triforce triangle here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/86/Triforce.svg/512px-Triforce.svg.png
when your in each sea, sometimes you will see a frog. hit him with the cannon, then he shows you a symbol.
You go into this cave and talk to a golden frog. Then you get the cyclone slate. You then leave the cave. If you get stuck come talk to me.
Well, you go to the South Eastern Sea and you will have to find a new island that isn't charted on the map. Go past Goron Island, then start going down to the bottom of the sea chart. And then you will see and island. Head towards it. then when you get to the island, you will see 4 boing-oing statues on the island. You have to solve the riddle in order to get to a new path that goes into a cave. Then talk to the big frog in order to get the slate {when you get in the cave}.
it looks like a whale. The first boing oing thingy that you see with the water around it is the i. Th e first thing that branches out also the biggest is the water spout the second one is the tail and the higher ground is the fin hope i helped BTW this is where you get the cyclone slate if you ever saw jumping frogs before shoot em to get a sign to draw on the slate to tele prt there draw the symbol on the sea chart where you are so you can remember it
When you shoot a frog, he will hold up a sign with a symbol on it. draw that symbol on your map. Then, when you want to warp to that place again you bring up your slate and draw the symbol on it. ^_^ hope that helps
If you see a golden frog in the water when you're sailing tap the frog, shooting it with your cannon. If you hit it the screen will zoom in on the frog and they will tell you a symbol to draw on your whirlwind slate. Remember to make a note of the symbol on your map by drawing it when your boat is at that moment.
The Cyclone Slate is a key item in the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. It allows Link to draw whirlwinds on certain pedestals to activate various mechanisms and solve puzzles in the game. By using the stylus on the Nintendo DS touchscreen, players can draw the cyclones and guide them towards specific targets.
