Yes because it is almost the very beginning of the halo series. It would help to have halo: combat evolved because the events of Halo Reach takes place 20 years prior to the events of halo: combat evolved. the first halo stems right off of Halo Reach. By itself it is a fantastic game

halo reach is based right before halo 1. in the last level on reach u can try to move your camera right and u c John-117 or the master chief in a hypersleep tube blastiing of and goin on the pillar of autumn. also in the end of Halo 3, master chief is in the capsule this right? so i believe the halo triology is a time continum, when master chief was first intoduced is halo 1, he was in a tube. so i believe in halo reach master chief was found on reach and placed on the pillar of autumn. the time continum started as he drstroyed the 2nd halo in halo 3.
