It's very likely. All four of the current games were great, well recieved, and all but path of the furon sold well, however its likely that it will take the path that Psychonauts took. it was well recieved, but didn't sell well(path of the furon) and the series will likely become an occult classic, and be remade sometime in the next 15 years :)

At the end of destroy all humans 2, Once you beat Dr. Orlov (that might be his name) Then you see a video about Crypto, then you are free to do what ever in the 5 maps. So it is a free for all. The big willie unleashed game has nothing to do with the story so don't buy it. If you have an Xbox 360, or PS3 buy the path of the furon game because that is the conclusion to the whole series. Without it, you do not know how the game ends.
