The Galil in Call of Duty: Black Ops has the exact same feel as the Famas and Enfield. All three guns sport a recoil rating (in the order from left, top, right) of 10, 60, 60. The greater the value of the recoil in that specific direction, the more likely it will kick in favor of that direction. That is why you will realize that these particular guns frequently recoil and kick to the top right.

The Galil is the AK-47/Commando version of the Famas with the only difference between the two is their damage and fire rate. The Commando, AK-47 and Galil have the same damage(40) and fire rate(apprx. 750 rpm) Where as the Famas/AUG have the same damage(35) and fire rate(apprx 900+rpm).

The guns with a faster rate of fire tend to be more lethal at close range since they dish out bullets much faster than the slower assault rifles and the bullet damage are pretty identical at that range. Keep in mind that every player has a total of 100 health points, so 35damage(Famas/Aug)x3bullets=105health points. 40damage(AK, Galil, Commando)x40damage=120health points. Even though the Famas and Aug are weaker compared to the other AR's, it still takes only 3 bullets to kill regardless, and with their fire rate significantly higher than the other AR's, they are that much more lethal. However, at long range, the Galil/AK/Commando may benefit from the extra 5 damage which can mean one less bullet needed to kill an enemy.

The Galil, can seem to have less recoil at long distance due to the firing rate compared to the Famas. Slower bullets means less kick.

I'm not saying the Galil is better or worse in any way. In my opinion, the Galil is one of the most overly gifted weapons within its class. Not only does it have great iron sights. It's recoil mechanics are exactly the same as the Famas, making it just as easy to use if you like that gun. It packs the power of the AK-47 and Commando with a 40 damage per bullet rating. And to top it off, it can hold an extra 5 bullets per clip at 35 rounds which can make the hugest difference in a gun fight. The only draw back to the Galil is that it takes a very long time to reload compared to the other assault rifles. I guess that balances the gun out. But still, you don't worry about reloading during a fight, you worry about how many bullets you have left. You reload when it is safe so the split second longer it takes to reload is irrelevant.

All in all, the Galil is a great gun and in my opinion, has much more potential than the Famas. If I had to call a gun "over-powered", it would be the Galil due to its insane attributes. The Famas is widely considered as an over-powered weapon but it really isn't. It's just a very popular gun because it is unlocked very early and the best AR to use after the Enfield.

Quick Tip on how to become more accurate with the Galil/Famas at Medium to Long Range:

- You want to initially hold the trigger briefly to burst fire. Hold long enough so that it shoots 3-4 bullets, at least two of the bullets should hit. Let go of the trigger and repeat to finish your kill. If you haven't killed him by now, go ahead and let it rip before you die. For me personally, in a heads up gun fight from medium to long range, I tend to hold the right stick towards the left slightly to compensate the top-right recoil. At the same time, I'm usually strafing to my right (or left depending on the unpredictable kick) in order to keep my gun centered and firing within the same proximity when I full auto. It really helps! Practice!

In some people's opinion, Black Ops is a load of rubbish. The guns are way overpowered and the graphics are worst than previous Call of Duty games. A good point about Black ops 2 is that Zombies has been changed with an included ranking system.

I would say that it is worth buying, the campaign is short, yes. But the multi player isn't as overrun as Mw2, although the maps are a bit dodgy

The game is rated for mature and not for kids because of Blood and Gore strong language and intense violence and was not designed for children.
