KSI is the largest clan, or group of people who play together as a team, in the Halo 3 community. They have over 20,000 members and are continuing to recruit. People who are in KSI often have the letters "KSI" before their gamertags.
Update 2017: KSI is a gaming community established in 2002 on the PC. In 2004, the community transitioned over to xbox console and started to make a name for themselves in halo 2. A gaming community differs from a clan for the reason that a clan expects a certain "skill level" to become involved in and usually has a smaller group of people. A gaming community welcomes in members of all skill levels and have a large number of players. Clans are competitive, communities are for fun.
At the all time high of 30,000 active members around the halo 2 - halo 3 transition at the start of 2008, KSI has been the longest lasting and largest gaming community xbox, playstation or pc has ever seen. At this present time in 2017 KSI has approximately 2000 members playing on all the latest platforms and games.
There is a lot of controversy regarding the popular Twitch streamer KSIOlajideBT. KSI does not have copyright for their community due to a lot of legal issues surrounding it. It is fact that KSIOlajideBT used to be apart of the KSI gaming community and when he left, he continued to use the name/ xbox live gamertag that he once started with KSI. So no, the KSI community are not "KSI fan boys" but infact KSIOlajideBT was one of our fanboys first
