A way to kill the hatchet man is to make sure you have a gun, a chainsaw from beating Adam the clown, and plenty of health. When fighting the hatchet man climb on top of the boxes and then on top[ of the shelfs. Get your gun and shoot him 2 to 3 times. quickly get off the shelf and chase him with your chainsaw before he escapes into the underground tunnel. Once he goes in there he will then appear on the shelfs again. repeat this process to beat him. If you choose not to go on the shelfs he will throw grenades and smoked flares.
