You must have done something with your IQ on your partner and made it turn off its attacking ability or on your partners moves it has to have a star next to it and your partner will know that thoughs are the moves that you want him/her to do.Just go to his/her moves and then it will say select and do that and the star will apear.Other than that if it still doesn't work then something is wrong with your game.
