There are 3 different sizes of slimes in minecraft. Big , medium ,and small.
The flat world seed spawns alot of slimes. But every seed spawn slimes.
Apparently yes. But the smallest slimes don't harm you, they don't deal damage.
You can find slimes in flat areas at lease 6-7 blocks wide. Or in slime dungeons.

You wanna see slime? Do this; go down to the bedrock layer and mine out a huge tunnel sstem and mkae sure its floor doesnt rise up more than ten blocks than the bed rock do that for several chunks and slimes will even spawn with you inside the tunnels
