Depends witch ur talking about. Since I've been on wii questions I'm gonna guess it's a wii.

With a wii u take out the charger thingy and charge both ur remotes. Once they're charged put the wii sensor somewhere you can point to it easily while playing whatever game ur trying to play.( Make sure u plugged it up.) then u turn it on and play. Honestly whatever game console u bought probably has /no no../ DOES HAVE. instructions. And just like ur reading this. U need to READ those instructions. Hope those instructions that I hope ur taking my advice on reading helps. There's usually a table of contents if u need to find something pacific

You open the lid, by pressing the open button. You insert the game disc, memory card and controllers. You close the lid. Then turn it on, and play.
