Now, I'm only going to say this once (as the game will as well): YOU CANNOT TRADE ANY POKEMON YOU SEND TO PLATINUM FROM EMERALD BACK. NEVER. EVER. EVER. But, befre you can even do that, you must first have beaten the Elite for and have gotten the National Dex. You must first find a place called Pal Park. It's located on the Route 221, south of Sandgem Town. When you enter the building, the man at the front "desk" (I'm not sure what you'd call it) will explain how Pal Park works. You probably will keep reading this, so I'll tell you anyways. After you talk to the man, save (probably a good idea) and turn off your game. Insert your Emerald cartridge to your DS and turn your game back on. Go to your Platinum and there should be a new option underneath your game. It should say something like "Transfer Pokemon from Emerald" or something along those lines. Click it, and it will first ask if you want to transfer Pokemon to your Platinum. Click yes, and the next pop-up will give the warning saying you can't ever trade your Pokemon back to your emerald, and ask if you wish to proceed. Click yes, and it will tell you to transfer 6 Pokemon from your PC boxes in Emerald. Choose them, and they will all be at Pal Park. It will then take you back to your Platinum menu. Continue your game, and talk to the guy at Pal Park. You can then start a "catching show" and you can now catch the 6 Pokemon you transfered.
NOTES: Depending on the Pokemon, each one will be in the region where it would most likely be found in the wild (e.g: Goldeen on the lake, Tentacool the beach, Caterpie the forest, etc.)
You can only keep the Pokemon once you capture all of them. And you cannot send any Pokemon at all unless you send 6. Weird, huh?
You have to use these special pokeballs called "Park Balls" which have a 100% success rate. Not too hard now is it?
Remember, you are giving a show. Based on how fast you do it, you will receive a certain berry. The faster the show, the better the berry.
You have to trade it to evolve it.
