The game is misleading a bit - you can't literally remove the curse from a cursed item to get an uncursed version of the same thing. What you can do is alchemise the item with 1, 2 or 3 Saints' Ashes, to create a new, similar item, they're usually better.For example Hades Helm is a cursed helm, you can never get an uncursed Hades Helm, but by alchemising it with one Saints Ash, you get a Great Helm with a higher defence rating and no curse.
