No, but it is heavily based on Whomp's Fortress. Even what the Whomp King says before the fight is the same.

One place you can fight whomps is in a level called Whomp's Fortress. It is on ground level, and it is on the right side of the stairs. It has a 3 and a star on it.

in the tree with the coin over it there is an owl and he flies you to different places to get to the owl just climb in the tree to get the coin.
