Firstly, be sure that your Wii U is up to date, though a recently purchased Wii U will have this function preinstalled.
All you need to do is insert the Wii game disk into the Nintendo Wii U. Then, open the game or select the Wii channel on the Wii U home screen. Both options will bring you to the classic Wii home screen. Select the game once again and it will start.
Keep in mind that the Wii U gamepad cannot be used to play Wii games so you will have to use the Wii Remote and nunchuk to play Wii games
