From Majula, start heading back the way you came the first time, from Things Betwixt. There is a path that leads off to a cave, halfway between the two locations. You will pass by a set of stone archways and then an open area, where you can see a man with a bright blue sword - Benhart of Jugo. Past him, a woman has been petrified, at the lever to the door blocking further progress. When you get a Fragrant Branch of Yore, you can unpetrify her, she is Rosalind, a pyromancy trainer. Pulling the lever leads to a tough ambush encounter. Through the doorway, a bonfire is to the left behind a closed door. Proceed up the steps to the Shaded Path.
Shaded Path is linear with about half a dozen enemies, leading to another bonfire with three ways to proceed. The one on the left leads to Drangleic, forward to Aldia's Keep, but you want to go right, through the misty area, to Shaded Ruins. A bonfire is beneath the second ramp. Advance down the stone corridor and fight the near-invisible assassin. Go up at the end and you'll be in an open area with curse jars and more assassins. You need to go right, creep near the edge of the wooden 'floor' so you do not disturb the assassin at the right, nor fall through the floor which is fragile. There will be what looks like a castle gateway ahead, up the ramp is the way to the area boss, Scorpioness Najka.
Almost there! Najka's arena leads to the Doors of Pharros. This is mostly a PvP area and most of it can be bypassed. Past the Mastodon, through the hole in the wall, is a bonfire. Come back into the first chamber and go up the steps, fight the Gyrm Warrior. Proceed upwards until you see some spiral stairs, follow this linear path. There is one normal Gyrm Warrior to fight, and one who will hurl his axes down the corridor at you - beware. Once you are past him, you will leave the Doors of Pharros and arrive at the royal camp site, the first bonfire at Brightstone Cove Tseldora. Congratulations!
