you get the job by talking to the shady guy by the tunnel tour. you eventyually find out he is the man who eventually frames you for stealing the scream. you talk to him and he tells you to get a job in the museum, and when you do, he frames you for stealing the scream whaen you were trying to protect it. :)
What you have to do is get all of the missing\ torn pictures and you have to go to the docks at night and go into the underground tunnel and you have to find the ladder with 1 step broken, and climb it. at the top there is a thing that you have to click on. then, you have to copy the dragon picture, then press the button above the pic. it will open, and then you are in the museum.
This is fun. Now, listen closely....
Go to the docks. the mysterious man has opened up the tunnels for you. Go into the tunnels, and follow the path until you see a broken ladder. Climb up it, and click on the hatch above. Match the hatch picture to the peices of picture you collected, the hatch will spring open. Go up.
You will emerge in the supply closet of the museum. Use the supply key to unlock the door. But don't go ahead just yet. See that window, where the inspector is prowling around? Go right to the left edge of the window and position your arrow. Wait for the inspector's shadow to go over to the left out of view, then run as fast as you can to the door to the statue room.
Inside the statue room, there will be lasers swinging everywhere. If you touch one, you will be caught. But you can hide behind statues. The lasers won't see you then. As soon as the way to the next statue is clear, run behind it, and wait for the next statue to be open... Anyway, at the last statue, run into the main hall of paintings instead of another statue.
In the hall of paintings, find the Scream. Click on it and you will jump on the lamp above it, so you can drop onto the thief. But then, alarms will start flashing and the inspector will show up. Turns out you've been framed!
Note: Just in case you think that this is "failing" part of the quest by being framed, it isn't. You need to do this part.
You have to go see the assistant curator on the top floor and then do a puzzle. Good Luck!!
