You can now go to most of the box stores like Walmart and they should have a Minecraft CD you can buy there. The CD only has the installer on it so you will still have to go online and register and make an account and password for the game. Then you will be able to download the actual game.
Think of a name for your charactor and a password ahead of time and it will be a lot faster. After your done registering they will send you an e-mail to confirm your e-mail works and then just follow the directions. Your e-mail will be locked to your account so make sure it's not a throw away temp e-mail to avoid any future problems.
