First go on to the minecraft homepage and login.
Then click change skin.
Then you are done.

First you will need to download a skin from a website. I have put a few websites where you can get skins from in the related links below. When you download it, make sure you know where it is, go onto minecraft.net (if you type 'minecraft' into Google it will be the first link that is not an ad) and sign in. Then click on the profile tab at the top and scroll down until you see 'choose file'. Click on 'choose file and find your skin on your computer. When you have done that, double click it and then click on 'upload'. And there you have it, your new minecraft skin!
It doesn't matter what os you're on (windows, mac, or linux), but you find and download your skin (I usually use skindex), go to your account page on the minecraft website, and upload your image file from there. (It may take awhile to update though)
