Crusher is stomping, and then throwing barrels, in the junkyard. Climb up at right, then jump up to and over him to reach the crane. Turning the power off will drop a refrigerator on him. Then repeat the procedure, and get back to the crane, and turn the magnet back on, knocking him out between the magnet and the crushed car.

Crusher is in the junkyard, shaking the ground by stomping. At first, you will have to jump up when he stomps or you will be knocked down. Time your jumps. Once you have completed the first part, you will again have to jump in time to avoid barrels as he throws them at you.
The First Part
In the junkyard, go to the right, climbing on top of the fence. Jump up on the oil barrels and then to the barrel just to his right. Time your jumps so you are in the air when he stomps. You will get close, then jump OVER him onto the car that he's on. Jump farther to the left and climb up the crane. Reach in and flip the switch that turns OFF the electromagnet. The fridge should fall on him and crunch him, but then he gets angry and starts throwing barrels at you, knocking you off the crane.
The Second Part
Dodge the barrels (thrown at regular intervals like the stomping), jump over him, and get to the top of the crane again. This will require you to jump before he throws a barrel, and again from the car roof he's standing on. Climb the crane and flip the switch that turns the magnet back ON again. The car hood he's standing on is drawn up to the magnet and crushes him.
Put the anti-power handcuffs on him. (You will reappear at the prison where your ID is updated for the capture.)
Go as far as you can to your right in Super Power Island.
first you must beat all of the villain's, then you will go to the phone booth which is on the street you entered when you first came to the island then you will answer the phone and that's when you get the power's. note: you will then try to defeat the girl villain and you almost get her when she strikes you and that's when your "sidekick" arrives
You will never get super strength! On superhero island u must find other ways to defeat the bad guys the one in the junkyard look towards the crane....and the others i forget, Betty Jetty is the last one you defeat.
When it rings, pick it up. The pay phone will ring when you have defeated the first 5 super villains on Super Power island. You will receive your flying power, which you need to defeat the 6th villain, Betty Jetty.

Well your actual poptropica character can't go in jail. But on Super Power Island, when you defeat each villain and they will go to jail.
I think you are talking about super power island. To use the handcuffs, defeat the villain and then click on them when they fall down and have stars around their heads.
You don't catch them in any set order. You can start with Copycat and Speeding Spike at Downtown, Sir Rebral and Ratman at City Park, or Crusher at the Junkyard. (see the related question)
There are 6 super-villains on Super Power Island. In order to catch the final villain (Betty Jetty), you will need to fly after her. you go and defeat all the other villans and you go to the telephone booth and press the phone and you will get the ability to fly then you go to the girl and chase her done while dodging her bullets.Good Luck!
u cant your suppose to defeat the villians ok so that iis about it and if you are a super villian you cant get the super hero id card and the suit
Since you have to defeat all 5 villains before you can face Betty Jetty, it makes no difference whatsoever how you play them. Consistency would suggest doing them Crusher, Ratman, Sir Rebral, Speeding Spike, and Copycat i.e. farthest from Main Street to closest, or closest to farthest. Their relative locations are : Copycat-Speeding Spike (Downtown) / Sir Rebral-Ratman (City Park) / Crusher (Junkyard)
