How do you create a community lot on the sims 2 double deluxe?

click on the 'lots and houses' button and then click 'empty lots'. click an empty lot thean place it somewhere in your neighbrood. the it should say 'community' and 'residental' and under that it should say 'rename lot'. click 'community' and where it says 'rename lot' type what you want your community lot to be called. click 'ok' and then click on your lot and start decorating {befor you decorate add a description to your lot}.

A new thing called The Sims 3 world creator has come out, and you can build a whole town on it, including lots. Unfortunately, you can't just put new lots in an already made town.

But if that's not what you meant you can click on a premade empty lot in a premade town and build things on it (like houses, parks, schools, fire stations, parks etc.).
