If you have a game that is wi-fi enabled(such as Pokemon,Animal Crossing, etc.)there will be a wi-fi connection setting. If you find that, follow the instructions.Make sure you have a wireless router that has WEP security(the only security that Nintendo uses, most routers use WPA security - an easier program.).If this fails you will get an error code,go to Nintendo.com and report your problem.Have fun Playing!
To connect to the internet, you'll need a wireless access point (a router or something similar).
Your router must be set up as either open or WEP-protected in its wireless security settings (WPA encryption is supported on the DSi and 3DS, but older games still won't support it). You'll also need to know the password to your network, if it has one.
On the DS and DS Lite, you'll need to launch a game that supports Wi-Fi (the blue circle on the cover), and use the in-game menu to find the wireless settings. This varies between each game, but it's usually in a multiplayer menu.
On the DSi and 3DS, you can find the wireless options in the settings area on the main menu.
The connection setup is quite straight-forward, it varies depending on what you're using to connect with, but in most cases you simply scan for a wireless network, select the appropriate one then enter the password.
It's easy!
If you have a DS lite go to the game you want to connect with. Chose wifi and click wifi settings. Then chose Nintendo wifi connection settings. Chose any connection(whether its 12or3) then chose serch for an accsess point. You need to be at home or in a wifi hotspot. Chose any connection that is found(as long as it doesn't require a password) Then test the connection.
Hope this helps!
You can configure your DSi's internet connection settings via the Internet option on the third page of the system settings application. You must either have a home wireless network (i.e. a wireless router currently connected to the internet) or a Nintendo WFC USB Wi-Fi connector for your DSi to get online.
