How do you change your character in poptropica?

By using the Costumizer (the little t-shirt icon at upper right).

On any island, select the costumizer tool and click on any charactor and you can choose which pieces of their clothing you want (not all items or appearances can be copied). Also, with poptropica credits that you can purchase or earn by completeting islands (or Earth Day or the Haunted House), you can buy special costumes from the "cool costumes" section of the Poptropica store.

You can also purchase the "Costume Collector" Gold Card for 250 credits or free with membership. You can save up to 3 costumes at once. I believe it is the most worthwhile purchase you will ever make with your credits.

If you look in the section where you see all the items that you have collected on the island, there is an arrow that tells you what island all of these objects are from. If you click on that arrow, there is something that you can click on that says "Store Items." In that section will be all the items that you have bought from the store. That will include your costumes/outfits and accessories.

go to 24 carrot island and go in the diner. there's a little drink machine that says, "our drinks will change your hair". click on it. click on each little tab to release the color.

p.s. you can mix the colors example: if you put red and yellow in the cup together then you'll get orange hair.

You can color your hair with the drink machine on 24 Carrot Island, and change your complexion with the balloons on Early Poptropica.

You can also use the "keyboard" methods to alter your skin tone, holding down the CTRL and SHIFT keys and pressing S to toggle through the colors.

A permanent change in your appearance can be made using the Randomizer feature.

THESE CANNOT BE UNDONE. Hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys, and press R to go through a large array of appearances, some male and some female. (Note that if your character changes gender, some of the costumes you have may no longer function.)

On the right hand corner of the screen there are five icons. click the t-shirt icon. that is the customize icon. when you click it click on another character that you want to get clothes from. you can click their shirt, pants, hair, or any other accessories they have (not all can be copied). You cannot return to a previous copied appearance without repeating the process on the other character.

Won or purchased costumes can be selected from the item bag, under island items or store items.

First you have to have another character beside you and then you click the clothes icon at the top if the screen and then you customise your chosen face and you can do the same thing with the clothes that you have on.
