How do you beat odin on Final Fantasy XIII?

You Have to level up first if your having trouble odin uses an attack that kills your party in one hit if you cant beat him within a certain time limit you will lose. Zantetsuken is a one hit kill, after you beat him he becomes a summon for you, anyone that can sommun can use this attack against other enemys (sometimes), also get a Thief to level 71 and use the steal option on Odin to get Gungnir the second most powerful spear in The whole game.

ok what you need to do is make lightning a med and hope a ravenger befor the battel hit LB and you should get a small items menu look for the item that gives you protect and shell and whatever else use it then use the item that gives you bravery and hast and whatever elsa it doses then go in to battel only use cure with light and let hope do his thing and you should beet him prity qwik heal hope ever time he is hert

PS: He meant fortisol and aegisol shrouds. Also, it's helpful to have the following paradigms: Yin & Yang (MED/RAV), Double Dose (MED-MED), and Slash and Burn (COM-RAV), if you want to go aggressive. Switch to whatever paradigm that is necessary for your situation.

Odin yields to those who amass chain bonuses and those who heal the wounded, so I recommend Lightning as a Medic and Hope as a Synergist and alternating between RAV/RAV to get in chain bonuses when you're health is full. If your still having trouble then you can use some shrouds that give you Bravery, Faith and so on.
