Answer
Under the category "Christianity," there exists a mostly unanimous agreement that God does control mortality. While there are different branches of what is considered Christian in society, the monotheistic belief of Christians at large would indicate that God gives life at birth (possibly as some consider at conception) and takes life at death.
While differing teachings exist in the various branches of Christianity, the Scripture tells us that Christ warned: "My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready." John 7:6.
Jesus told the story of the rich fool, who had a bumper crop come in, which he greedily wanted to build bigger storage barns to keep. He didn't care about helping others, nor to be "rich toward God." Christ related: "God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?", to which He concluded: "So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Luke 12:20,21. Job had all his wealth, his children and his health taken away, but God refused to allow Satan to take his life. Satan accused Job: "But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face." God answered: "And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life." Job 2:5,6. Christian believers see this as God's complete control of our mortality.
Kng David had said: "Thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb." And: " I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:13-16. He indicated his confidence that God was in control of his life from before conception. Many consider Moses to be wise in saying: "For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Psalm 90:9-12.
Answer
The question itself is subject to personal belief. For example, if you don't believe there is a God or Higher Power then the answer is "No". This question could take on so many different answers that only one religions answer is not enough. (However the Question is asked under the Category of "Christianity," not "world religions.")
Answer
Isaiah 38:5 (NASB) [Isaiah]"Go and say to Hezekiah, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of your father David," I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life. Jehovah-Elohim added 15 years to Hezekiah's life. And of course Paul writing the Corinthians wrote in, "1 Corinthians 15:54 "But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory [Jesus Christ. verse 57]" The angel of the Lord killed 185,000 men in one night. (1 Kings 19:35, Isaiah 37:36) Ananias and Sapphira were killed by the Holy Spirit in Acts 5. James 5:20 (NASB) "let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death." Sin is a grievance against God, It is assumed that God can kill sinners.

The term God is used to define the lesser beings in the hierarchy of creation. The one true creator, the source, is the only energy in control of the mortal death of a human being, other than that human being itself.
According to The Bible, -- Yes -- Ultimately Jehovah God; the Creator of everything - - decides regarding 'life-span'.
God created some things WITH a 'lifespan'; and other things were not given a specific 'lifespan'. They were granted 'everlasting existence'; (but with conditions.)
('Everlasting life' and 'immortality' are different Hebrew words in the Bible; w/ different concepts.)
Actually God created some forms of life to exist for a very short time; and other things to exist much longer. For example; look at the diversity among 'animal life'. Some live for only a few months or less (mice). Other animal-life exist for 80 years (elephants); over 100 years (parrots, tortoises). Then they return to the dust, from whence they came. This is not unfair for God to do. He is the Controller of these matters.
It is no 'injustice' for God to grant something a short -- or a long lifespan. Death is merely 'an end of existence'.
God 'gave' life; God can take 'life away'. And God can even 'resurrect' formerly existing life; as easily as God created it the first time; we might call it 're-creating'.
God can also 'TRANSFORM' life from one 'type' (human form), to another 'type' (angel-form).
And God can also 'TRANSFER' life, from one place (earth); to another place/dimension/realm (heaven).
Christians and Jews believe that God does not normally cause people to die, nor prolong their lives.
Some Muslims believe that death is pre-ordained and is therefore subject to God's divine plan.
Atheists, of course, do not believe that any divine being can intervene to cause or prevent death.
Many pray for their loved ones, but rationally accept that death comes in the natural course. Secular studies of hospital patients for whom people have prayed show no statistical difference in outcome compared to others.
Pandora was crafted by the gods; as there is no myth about her death, it is likely she never died so was never mortal.

he was half mortal and half god
Hercules is mixed between mortal and god, he is the son of Zeus/Jupiter (God) and Alcmene (Mortal).
In some religions, God is believed to have control over life and death. The Devil is not typically seen as having power over death, but may be associated with evil or temptation. Ultimately, beliefs about death and its control may vary between different religious traditions.
Perseus is a demigod, which means that he is have God and half Mortal. That means since Zeus is a god, The Danae has to be a mortal.

The term for the offspring of a god & a mortal is a Demigod (if it is more divine) or a Hero (if it is more mortal). In general what seems to decide if they are a demigod or hero seems to be whether they were raised by a god or a mortal. Bacchus is an example of a god Hercules is an example of a demigod.
Mortal weakness is vulnerability to death. Mortal weakness lacks the power of immortality.
No, man is mortal - God is not.
