I had that same question a while ago. But then I clicked a few things and found out! If you've had several children go to college, only one will come back. That one person will come back once a parent has died. If there are any kids left that the parents had, they will be vanished from the screen. You click the "Start a new generation" Button when you are at the family tree. You get there by clicking "Family"

If your daughter goes to collage, that probably means she is in a picture of some kind so never because she isn't a virtual character. She is only a figure in a picture. Now if you mean "college," then i cannot help you because i have never played the game.

To fix a leak in Virtual Familes, first you must take someone 16 or older and drag them into the workshop. There, they will grab a wrench and fix the leak. Or, if you don't want to go to all that trouble, just exit back to the iPod menu and go back and the leak/fire will be gone.

Where is the doctor on virtual families?
There is no doctor. You have to get your people checked for $175. It's near all the medicines (stethoscope). Easy way to save money though is pick them up and drop them back down. They will say what there problem is and you can just buy medicine for whatever they say. :)
