Battlefield 2 was the first Battlefield game to have swearing it is not bad though they only say the "D word" when saying "Sorry" Battlefield Bad Company 2 and 1 has swearing but in Bad Company 2 you can turn it off in MULTIPLAYER by going to Options and scrolling Dialouge to 0. Battlefield 3 has language and there is no way to turn it off.

No, the only multiplayer profanity that you can filter is text profanity (on PC/Mac). Speech profanity so far is not, (hence the "experience may change during online play" in the ESRB rating). On xbox-live you can mute people, so do this if someone is profusely swearing.
