Yes you can. I suggest that you buy a wired controller, a wireless controller you need to buy a receiver which costs about $20 dollars and I had a hard time finding one, so you can just save money by buying a wired one with cost about $25, after you get a controller you need to download a driver here is the link http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows and some games don't allow you to customize the button layout so download xpadder the link is http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Xpadder.shtml xpadder is awesome.
The basic wiring setup is the same for each controller, in USB format. The difference is in the connection terminals. The Xbox controller has a much different connector-type than the Xbox 360, which is nothing more than a typical USB plug.
The only way to make it work would be to get or create an adapter harness to convert the Xbox connector into a USB type. It would be easier to buy a 360 controller, and more efficient since the 360 controller added two new buttons and functions to the older Xbox controller.
Yes, if you have a wired Xbox controller you can just plug it into any USB port(2.0 and up) and windows will sort the drivers out for you (Not 100% on XP but tested on Windows 7 and 8).
If you want to use a wireless controller you will need a wireless gaming receiver which again plugs into one of your USB ports. you can get this from ebay, amazon, etc...
Xbox 360 controllers work on the PC with just an inexpensive adapter that can be purchased, and Windows will recognize it as a gamepad immediately. All functions of the controller - vibration, etc - will be worked as wll. For the original xbox controllers, however, a third party adapter must be used.
plug into usb port
No that's y there called x box 360 games retard!!!!!
yes you can, most of them, let's say that you can play like the 90% of all the released games of the x-box on the 360
No sorry the X Box 360 discs are far too advanced for the original X Box, they just don't communicate, but, vice versa you can play original X Box games on the X Box 360.
No you can not
Hardly any games let you use a controller that are made for the computer, whether or not you can play against people playing the 360. If there's no option in the settings of the game to use a controller on the computer game, then you can't.
yes u can
only certain x-box games work on the x-box 360 for others you must download harware
No. Several games for the xbox 360 are custom tailored for that system's software and hardware, and simply upgrading your xbox will not allow it to play xbox 360 games.
No
No.
This question does not make sense. The Xbox 360 will play older Xbox original games, so can the PS3.
