The PS3 can only store games you purchased as a download from the PlayStation Store and not the games on discs that it only keeps a file on for when the disc is again played.
You are not able to buy games for a Nintendo system in the PlayStation store but in you go into, say, EB games, then you are able to purchase the games there.
