The original fallout has 3 tutorial quests, 11 main quests and 17 side quests. There are also 36 unmarked quests, 16 of them are repeatable. The 5 DLC adds 18 new main quests, 8 new side quests, and 7 new unmarked quests 2 of those are repeatable, making for a grand total of 57 marked quests and 43 unmarked quests.
There are many many many quests in Fallout 3. So many that it would be very hard for me to write them all down. Try looking it up on Google or Bing and see what you can find and if any websites have all of them listed.
yes i would recommend other games such as oblivion and fallout 3

There is many hidden quests in Fallout 3 but i there is one when you reenter the vault. (after you father dies) hang around the vault entrance.
Kill people, do quests, pick locks, and hacking terminals.
That's a difficult question to answer, as it's asking really how long a piece of string is, it depends on what quests you encounter, if exploration of the world is something you enjoy doing, etcetera.I will say that Oblivion: GoTY has had an assumed 100+ hours of gameplay time with Fallout 3 (+DLC) having something similar. Both games have short main quests, but are full of side quests, unmarked quests and places to explore of your own initiative rather than a quest taking you there.Best of luck on your purchase.
No,since some quests require others to fail. However all AVAILABLE quests will keep ya playin' for a while..especially if u got the DLC's.
Fallout 3 and Fallout new vegas
You have to complete the normal story mode first. I.E complete the main story line then instead of death at the end you wake up in the brotherhood hospital and can continue on with your previous side quests along with the new broken steel quests. ( level cap also raised to 30 )
I personally recommend Fallout 3 to any other Fallout game. Fallout 3 has a more organized and in my opinion interesting storyline. And you. And you can also keep the game going after you beat the main quest on Fallout 3 if you buy the DLC "Broken Steel."
