In the Sims 3 base game, there are only two worlds. You can download Riverview from the Sims 3 site, but you must have a account. However with most new Expansion Packs a new world is released which you can play in. With the additional option of the Exchange, where you can get worlds created by other players using Create a World, which you can also download from the Sims 3 website, there are almost infinite worlds for Sims 3, and certainly more than almost every single computer in the world can handle.

I've not seen escalators for TS3. I would try some of the custom content sites and request that one be made. Mod The Sims is a good place to start...they have good creators who are willing to do requests.

This is how to add custom music if you play sims 3 on a pc: Go to: My Computer>(the drive you installed Sims to)>Program Files>Electronic Arts> The Sims 3>GameData>Shared>NonPackaged>CustomMusic and drop files into this folder. They then should play on your sims' stereo, under custom music :)
