Why the Bill of Rights were added to the constitution.
the bill of rights was added because the rest of the ones was not strong enough to handle all the citizens so they created the bill of rights and the bill of rights protect us from our government so if the government got to powerful we can decide weather we need the law or not and if they disagree we will be protected and still have our freedom without the government bossing us around like we don't have freedom.

The Bill of Rights
Two years after the constitution went into effect, ten amendments were added to the document. it was felt that the constitution did not list the rights that should protect all Americans. The constitution assumed that because the powers of the government were specific and limited, a statement of rights was not needed, but as the states began to ratify the constitution in 1787 and 1788, they insisted that a Bill of Right be added.
The constitution has been amended a total of 27 times. Of those, 17 were added after the Bill of Rights.
North Carolina originally did not ratify the Constitution. They chose to wait for the Bill of Rights to be added. Once the Bill of Rights was added, anti Federalists stopped their opposition to join the United States.
The Bill of Rights are the first ten amendments to our constitution. They were introduced in 1789 and adopted in 1791. The Constitution itself was adopted two years earlier in 1787 and began the ratification process then. It replaced the Articles of Confederation.

The set of rights added to the end of the constitution is called the Bill of Rights.
