Women trained girls to be wives and mothers by having them help around the house. Girlshelped with cooking, preserving food, caring for children, cleaning the house, washing clothes and gardening.

Yes and no. Yes because you ha to grow crops even if its hot or cold outside. And no because you could pretty much do what ever you wanted after you were done, but most of the time you are working outside, cleaning, and making sure everything is in order. And if its not, you have to fix it. The guys did all the hunting. And looking for settlers.
